Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR โ EU / UK users)
For users in the European Union and UK, we process your personal data on the following legal bases under GDPR Article 6:
Consent (Article 6(1)(a))
We process your email address for marketing communications only where you have given us your explicit, freely-given, and informed consent by ticking the consent checkbox on our signup form. You may withdraw this consent at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email, or by emailing privacy@warriorvault.app.
Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f))
We process server log data for security and fraud prevention purposes. This is a legitimate interest that does not override your fundamental privacy rights and freedoms.
Data Storage and Security
6.1 โ Waitlist email data
Your email address and consent record are stored with Brevo (formerly Sendinblue), our email service provider. Brevo is GDPR-compliant and stores data on servers within the EU. Their privacy policy is available at brevo.com/legal/privacypolicy.
6.2 โ App data
All data you enter in the Warrior Vault app is stored in your browser's local storage on your own device. It never leaves your device unless you use the Backup & Restore feature to download a copy.
6.3 โ Backup files
If you use the Download Backup feature, a .json file containing your vault data is downloaded to your device. This file is your responsibility once downloaded. We recommend storing it securely โ for example, in an encrypted cloud storage folder โ and not sharing it publicly.
6.4 โ Security measures
- HTTPS encryption for all web traffic
- No storage of payment card information (we do not process payments directly)
- Access controls limiting who can access our systems

Warrior Vault is a tool designed to be used by caregivers โ adults who manage care on behalf of children or other dependents. The app is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 16 through our website or waitlist.
The care information entered in the app about a child is entered by their caregiver (a parent or guardian), not by the child. That data is stored locally on the caregiver's device, not on our servers.

Canada is recognized by the European Commission as providing adequate protection for personal data (EC adequacy decision under GDPR). Transfers to Brevo are governed by their EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

- Where required by law, ask for your consent again before processing under new terms
